Chief Economist of Deloitte- Ian Stewart

The Economist's Society is excited to announce our next guest speaker, Ian Stewart. Ian is the Chief Economist at Deloitte where he advises Boards and companies on global macroeconomics.

Vastly experienced, his previous roles include Chief Economist for Europe at Merrill Lynch, Head of Economics in the Conservative Research Department and Special Adviser to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions. 

Ian’s talk, ‘Will robots take all the jobs?’ will look at the major effects that advancements in technology will have on the labour market, as well as how sectors such as financial services will fare. 

This talk will be invaluable to students interested in Deloitte, and those looking to apply to their different internship roles. In addition, students interested in macroeconomics and technology, as well as those looking to pursue a career in economics, should definitely attend.
