​Nobel laureate Jean Tirole is coming to UCL to hold a lecture on the stability of the financial system. Not only will this lecture be presented by a Nobel laureate, but it will also represent the inauguration of the UCL Centre for Finance (CfF). 

Jean Tirole, French economist, Chairman of the Board of the Fondation Jean-Jacques Laffont of the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) and Visiting Professor at MIT, was awarded the Nobel prize for "his analysis of market power and regulation" in 2014, the single recipient of the prize that year. He was described as "one of the most influential economists of our time" by the Nobel committee.

Among his other achievements are more than 200 published articles in international reviews, 12 published scientific books including the best-selling "Economics for the Common Good".
